2024 Luke Lambert 'Crudo' Chardonnay 750ml

This is a bit more fruity than is usual for Crudo, though that’s no bad thing. Stone fruit, lemon oil, aniseed, something of a nut butter thing here (could even be pistachio with its light green note). There’s some gloss and ripe lemon flavour, citrus zest lends some bitterness, quite saline and umami, with pulpy citrus flavour on a tight finish of good length. Feels a bit compressed in the mouth to extent, but it’s a good and characterful wine.
