2020 Tissot Ouille 'Traminer' Savagnin 750Ml Bottle

Savagnin is “white traminer” (worlds apart in flavour and colour to the pink traminer that is gewürztraminer): an ancient grape variety many thousands of years old. Stephane Tissot ages this wine in older barrels and he makes it much like a chardonnay. This is a wine of incredible power, textural complexity; dough, hay and saline-touches abound with a pleasing “chewiness” together with impressive density and length. The acidity, richness, and depth make it a powerful wine and this 2020 is the finest savagnin ouillé (topped-up wine) that I have ever encountered." - Randall.
