2023 Daniel Bouland Cote de Brouilly 'Cuvee Melanie' MAGNUM

This cuvee is produced from 70 yo vines in schist and granite derived soil with blue diorite, on a south-facing site sitting just above the revered Château Thivin. Named after Daniel's daughter (to avoid confusion as the lieu-dit here is called 'Brouilly'), the Cuvee Melanie is generously concentrated and offers the most raw power out of the cuvees. Medium-full bodied, there is an enjoyable ripeness to the wine, and opens with aromas of blueberry preserve and sweet spices.
