2024 Haart Piesporter Goldtropfchen Riesling Kabinett 750ml Bottle
Regular price $119.00'A super-pure Mosel Kabinett that’s so delicate and pristine on the light-bodied palate. The best comes last in the extraordinarily filigreed, wet-stone finish that extends way into the steely distance. Limited production. Drink or hold.'

'There is general consensus in the informed wine world that the former star pupil of Klaus Peter Keller is one of the greatest talents of the German wine industry in the last 20 years.'
Jancis Robinson MW
Julian Haart is one of the most compelling figures in modern German wine: a 13th-generation Mosel grower whose tiny estate, founded in 2010, has already achieved cult status worldwide. After training with some of Germany’s masters including Keller, Heymann-Löwenstein and Egon Müller, Julian and his wife Nadine, turned their focus to minute parcels of old vines in the grand cru vineyards of Ohligsberg and Goldtröpfchen. Here, he produces Rieslings of extraordinary concentration, precision and quiet power. Produced in microscopic quantities (just 300 litres of Kabinett in 2024), from low yielding vineyards, with spontaneous fermentations and stainless-steel élevage, these sleek, tensile wines have earned repeated 100-point scores and fierce global demand. Rare and rigorously priced Julian Haart’s wines are now collected alongside the very greats of the wine world.
'The 2024 Riesling Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Kabinett red label was made from tiny berries on a parcel of very poor slate. Reduction still hovers on the nose, but touches of peach skin and orange peel are quietly hinted at underneath. The palate is stony and slaty yet supple. The fruit is indeed reminiscent of gentle orange and yellow peach, pervaded by a saltiness while the acidity is so buffered and cushioned. This is a mellower style of Kabinett with wonderful balance. Its 48 g/L of residual sugar stand against 9.1 g/L of acidity. (Medium)'
