2020 Giovanni Rosso Ester Canale Langhe Nebbiolo 750Ml Bottle

I tasted this Langhe Nebbiolo recently and was an instant convert and disciple

• Ester Canale are wines (with a separate label) from the Giovanni Rosso estate, made by Giovanni’s son Davide.
• Davide worked at Jean Grivot and Denis Mortet prior to him taking over the Rosso / Canale estate from his dad.
• Ester is Davide’s mother and through her these vines of the revered Vigna Rionda cru came into the family. The original vines (made by famous by the grapes purchased by Bruno Giacosa) were planted in 1946, these grapes go into the unicorn Barolo.
• Davide replanted some vines in 2011 and these provide grapes for this outrageous Langhe Nebbiolo.

Vignariondo is one of the most respected cru in Serralunga, and it has been famous for 100’s of years.
