2022 Bachelet-Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 'Cailleret' 1er Cru 750Ml Bottle
Regular price $215.00'Tightly coiled, youthfully reticent. Citrus blossom, white pear and a mineral undercurrent indicating chalky origins. The palate is svelte yet precise, crisp lemon zest and saline threads and a finely structured core. A little hint of lees depth— without overshadowing the clarity. Superb length, with a taut, driven finish that will deliver further depth with age.' Jane Semple
For over a century, successive generations of the Bachelet-Ramonet family have cultivated vines in Chassagne-Montrachet. This corner of Burgundy, part of the celebrated “Côte des Blancs,” is recognised worldwide as one of the finest terroirs for Chardonnay. The domaine today extends across 13 hectares, with holdings in both Chassagne and neighbouring Puligny. Winemaking follows a classical model, supported by modern equipment: whites are matured for 14–16 months in oak, with bâtonnage employed to build texture, and all wines are vinified and bottled on site. While rooted firmly in tradition, the estate’s precision and consistency have earned it regular attention in the wine press, and its bottles are sought by leading merchants and restaurants around the globe.
