This beautiful and respected site sits just below les Cailles and Poirets 1er Crus. 'An admirably discreet application of wood is present on the distinctly earthy red berry aromas where a touch of the sauvage lurks in the background. Here too the medium weight flavors possess a highly attractive mid-palate texture that is at once lilting and rich which contrasts moderately with the firm and moderately rustic finale that is very Nuits in character. This is an excellent villages though one that will need some forbearance.'
