"The Amoureuses from Amiot-Servelle is much bigger than anything else in the cellar, with more density, more grip and impressive length. The initial attack opens with a bit of reduction over aromas of mulberry fruit, hints of earth, spice and an undertone of flinty mineral. The texture is velvety and deep but not astringent. The grapes are from 0.45ha on the northern side of the appellation; they are partly destemmed before fermentation on native yeasts and ageing in cask (half new). "This 2023 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses is blended with 30% whole bunch. This has a very composed and harmonious bouquet, quite understated at first but gradually unfurling with red berry fruit, briar and a touch of aniseed.
