This is rom 6 parcels of old vines planted between 1960 and 1989. The biggest one just near Criots Grand Cru, and another significant contributor just below Chenevottes. This has impressive richness, spiced pineapple fruit, chewy and concentrated palate, a perfect twang of oak, savory reduction, really impressive depth and nice length.
Bottled in mid-August, the 2024 Chassagne-Montrachet Village has a struck match note on the nose at the moment. The palate is a little reductive on the entry. Fine acidity, fresh and sapid, with quite a pronounced nutty note on the finish that reminds me of a Meursault. Fine.

Enough wood to remark upon sets off the ripe yet fresh aromas of rose petal, rosemary oil and various white orchard fruit scents. As one would expect, there is better volume to the succulent, round and delicious middle weight flavors that conclude in a bitter lemon-inflected finish that is sufficiently compact to need 4 to 8 years of cellaring.
