"Here the wood treatment is more subtle though hardly invisible as it more easily allows the ripe and fresh red currant, earth and pretty floral aromas that display a whisper of secondary development to be appreciated. The supple, rich and attractively textured flavors possess good power on the lengthy if slightly warm finale. This still needs a few years but unlike the other vintages in the range, this is not so far away from its peak that it couldn't be enjoyed soon. This is really quite good in the context of the vintage."

The lush, opulent and impressively rich broad-shouldered flavors are also supported by a very firm tannic spine on the balanced and strikingly long finish. As I have observed several times, this possesses fine quality, and particularly so for the vintage."
