Not expecting quite such an expanse of light on its feet sweet red fruit, again with floral overtones, then a return of black pepper at the finish. This needs more time. Very interesting. 'A spicier if less floral-suffused nose serves up an array of red currant, exotic tea, sandalwood and a whiff of star anise. There is even better volume and a similar lovely texture to the medium-bodied flavors that possess solid density before terminating in a powerful, moderately austere and very much built-to-age finale where a touch of warmth slowly emerges. This is a bigger and more powerful wine but I prefer the finesse and subtle minerality of the Sentiers.' 91-93 points - Allen Meadows, Burghound
