'Just one barrel, new from François Frères, and will not be offered for general release. Long and very slow press. A glowing pale yellow leads to a very classy nose, because the oak has tamped down any excess of fruit without showing its own character. Classic old style Pouilly-Fuissé from the early 20th century thanks to the power of the clay here. Certainly has bite at the back. Impressive.' - 92Pts Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy.

We were lucky to get a few cases of this monumental wine. Stunningly and deliciously rich, with full, old-school Meursault richness tempered by minerality from the "Batard-like" (according to the geology) deep clay and limestone soil and slope.
