2012 Diamond Valley Pinot Noir 750ml Bottle

This 2012 Blue Label wine is the “Reserve” (but not labelled as such) from the old vines in Diamond Valley (Yarra valley region). It was hand-picked, wild-yeast fermented in small vessels with some whole bunches and matured in French oak (20% + new). 
This pinot has generous flavour, a silky palate, good density, ripe dark red fruits, smoky spice, mineral-driven tannins, is well balanced with mature complexity, structure and length. Phew! At 15 y.o. showing some very attractive fragrant, high-class dry-tea / hoisin / Asian spice and damp forest floor tertiary characteristics. It’s absolutely ready to drink but will be prime drinking for another year or longer.
