"The same level of detail in its making as the Dr McMahon shiraz, this tweaked by 70/30% whole berries/bunches and aged 10 months in used French oak. There's a fragrance of florals and red fruits right upfront, but it's tempered by savoury inputs from sulphides, juniper, lead pencil and charcuterie. The grapes for Seville Estate's Reserve Shiraz come from the McMahon family's original vineyard plantings from 1972, giving the wine the power and concentration you'd expect from older vines. 30% whole bunches added in for extra aromatics and soft structure. Aged for 10 months in used French 500L barrels.
