The 2011 Belle Leone is deep, almost black in color, with aromas of leather, tobacco, nutmeg, fig and sweet spices. The palate is remarkably balanced, combining density, freshness and elegance, with layers of garrigue, coffee, roasted notes, chocolate and evolving earthy nuances. The tannins are refined and the finish exceptionally persistent.
