2019 Prinz Doosberg Riesling GG 750Ml Bottle

A powerful GG (Grand Cru) from Fred Prinz in the Rhinegau. The grapes are foot stomped and left to macerate for a short while. This gives more richness, texture and grip - fleshy like a Noshi pear. Aged in a mix of steel and barrels.

Doosberg is Prinz’s closest site to the Rhine and also the lowest in altitude, so it makes Prinz’s most opulent and richest wine. The small amount of grapes are given a single night's skin-contact maceration, and then pressed and fermented using pied de cuve in steel tanks. This is a complex crazy wine with rose petal, fresh herb elements, yellow orchard fruits, almond meal, doughy yeast-lees character and intense lime juice, lemongrass with lemon pith.
