A very Meursault nose combines notes of grilled nuts, pear, apple and acacia blossom trimmed in ripe citrus along with subtle phenolic hints. The rich medium-bodied flavors possess very good mid-palate density while delivering fine length on the moderately firm bitter lemon-inflected finale that flashes a touch of youthful austerity. This already displays good complexity and a few years of keeping should only add to that.

The 2021 Meursault 1er Cru Charmes (Domaine Louis Jadot) reveals aromas of freshly baked bread, citrus oil, white flowers and mint. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, with racy acids and an open-knit profile, it concludes with a moderately persistent finish.
92-94 points - Neal Martin, Vinous
The 2021 Meursault Les Charmes ler Cru comes from a relatively large plot that I feel gives it an advantage this year. It has a fragrant bouquet with peach skin, grilled hazelnut and light orange rind scents that gain intensity in the glass. The palate is well balanced with fine weight on the entry. There's plenty of extract here, and a pleasant pithiness comes through toward the finish. This should drink well over the next 20 years.
