Classic to the core and youthfully intense, the 2022 Rosso di Montalcino slowly evovles with a bouqet of dried roses, mint-laced strawberries and nuances of worn leather. It's initially soft in texture but quickly firms up through a core of tart red berry fruits that saturate. Chewy minerality adds complexity toward the close. The acidity is on point, nicely balancing the concentration of the vintage. That said, the tannins are a bit forbidding at this stage, so give the 2022 a few years in the cellar. 93 Points – Eric Guido, Vinous
