Mid red crimson. The barrel gives a slightly firm note to the fruit on the nose. There is a weight of red fruit beneath though this is rather reserved and only at the finish does the fruit come back. Here a more restrained nose somewhat grudgingly offers up an array of pretty red berry scents that are trimmed in notes of earth, wood and a suggestion of smoked game. The delicious and vibrant larger-bodied flavors are both more powerful and more concentration though they don't have the refinement or sophistication of the Reignots on the beautifully long and more complex finale where the only nit is a touch of warmth. At last moderate patience strongly advised.
