Guillon makes Bourgogne from just north of Gevrey, Chambolle and Gevrey itself. This plot comes from below the old fort between Dijon and Marsannay, just north of Gevrey and this area now produces reds that are ripe and classy. with blue and dark fruits and plushness with no rusticity.
This one is youthful (with a bright future) and vibrant, it tastes more like a villages wine with richness, detail and length. The fruit is deep, with subtle spice notes and firm but balanced tannins that carry the intensity and weight.
