"One of two grenaches from Blewitt Springs in the Pare range, this is off 1948 vines and is the more brooding, rumbling along in low gear, with fruits both red and black. That’s not to say it doesn’t have the same refinement of making (about half whole bunch, gentle extraction and élevage in neutral puncheons) or expression, just that the site, also on Maslin Sands, speaks in a different key.
