The 2023 Bourgogne Rouge is actually fresher on the nose than the Village Cru, with black cherries and light licorice scents. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, but there is decent freshness here with a slightly pinched finish. It should give four or five years drinking pleasure. 85-87pts - Neal Martin, Vinous
'An earthy dark pinot fruit nose gives way to rich, delicious and agreeably textured middle weight flavors that deliver good depth and persistence on the balanced finale that is not especially rustic. I would add that this isn't particularly dense but nonetheless, it punches well above its weight plus it will age if desired.'
