2024 Domaine Faiveley Mercury 'Clos Rochette' Blanc
Regular price $98.00 Sale price $88.00This east-facing monopole that has been owned by the
Faiveley family since 1933 sits near the La Framboisière
monopole on the north side of Mercurey. It starts with a hint
of reduction that shakes off quickly with a few swirls. Yellow
plums and cherries meld with vanilla bean and warm crêpe.
Jérôme says that he loves to put this is a Côte d’Or blind
tasting because people often call is a Meursault.

Notes of petrol, Granny Smith apple and lemon zest are
complemented by racy, delicious and attractively textured
middle weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the
lightly rustic and sneaky long finish. This is a very good
Mercurey blanc and given the typically low price, offers very
fine value.

Subtle citrus aroma with a hint of oak. Smells relatively ripe
but bright-fruited. Mouth-watering freshness with decent
fruit to balance. More flavour than refinement.
