Disgorged in March 2018, the latest release of Gonet-Medeville's NV Extra Brut Rosé Premier Cru opens in the glass with notes of orange rind, sweet red berries and gingerbread. On the palate, it's full-bodied, fleshy and vinous, with a textural attack, good depth and dimension at the core, ripe but racy acids and a long, mouthwatering finish. 90 points - Antonio Galloni, Vinous
Fresh apple skins! Smells like chopped-up golden apples. So fresh it’s almost like a salad in a glass. Really expressive and open and like the sweetest iceberg lettuce daubed with strawberry dressing and those pink tomatoes and little roasted linseeds. Very, very gourmand. A salty tang that reminds me very much of lomo, but also strawberries in balsamic vinegar with a crack of rock salt and pepper. Nice chew on the finish. This is a rosé doing what real rosés do best – bridging the gap between fine white and fine red wines with all the muscle and control and grace of a trapeze artist. I'd love to take a bottle of this to an innovative chef and play with food pairings.
