2018 Chateau du Clos Pouilly-Fuisse 'Pouilly' 750Ml Bottle

"This Monopole is exposed due east, on a steady slope, with the usual soil gradings you would expect. They use older barrels for the poor soil at the top of the slope, newer ones lower down, 75-80% new overall. Pale primrose. Immediately the bouquet shows a very complete wine, classic Fuissé style. Fine, floral specifically with mid-summer flowers. Pulls out beautifully at the back with some light viognier notes, absolutely legitimate for a Pouilly-Fuissé from Fuissé itself. Liquorice and pepper emerge too, with an Alsatian spice into the bargain." 93pts - Jasper Morris MW
