'The 2023 Bourgogne Chardonnay comes from purchased fruit. It offers simple, slightly tropical fruit on the clean and generous nose. The palate is well balanced with a slightly honeyed texture. Wow, this price for a good white burgundy; it's cheaper than wholesale prices. This is  from hillside plots, from around the village of Fuisse and its made and aged in that village. It shows good vibrancy, and authentic lees ageing and slightly smoky barrel-ageing nuances (it's aged in 1/2 350lt barrels and 1/2 tank), struck rock limestone soil character and the Burrier generosity. with pear, white flowers (tea tree / manuka) and grapefruit flavours to name a few. You can't go wrong with this.
