2024 Hurley Vineyard Garamond Pinot Noir 750ml
Regular price $112.00"Mid-garnet with a complex and etherial bouquet of cherries and raspberries infused with the perfume of roses and honeysuckle. A bouquet in which to lose oneself. Everything in the palate is a step up here. Powerful flavours of black cherries, cassis and dark spice fill the mouth in a way that exudes elegance and finesse. The texture is slick and silky due to the ultra-fine tannins while the body of the wine is dressed in beautiful oak that here too will integrate over time. Structure tick. Acidity tick. Length tick. Garamond was 26 years old in 2024 and it shows in the wine. It is losing fat and gaining complexity and tightness, as are the wines of Lodestone and Hommage. 25% new oak. Alc/vol 13.2%. To 2045." - Kevin Bell, Winemaker

97 points, five stars - Stuart Knox, The Real Review
Medium ruby-red colour. Fragrant nose of dark cherries, star anise, cola and prosciutto all lifting from the glass. Medium in weight but packing a great amount of red berry and cherry intensity. That power is accentuated by a mix of cola and anise spices and as it drives a deeper curing meat undertone. Great length carried by fine acidity and powerful, sandy tannins that almost feel endless. A phenomenal wine that will continue to evolve with cellaring.
95 Points – Jane Faulkner, Wine Companion
The most balanced and complete of Hurley’s pinots this vintage, with more flesh to the bones. Dark fruit, ripe, tangy and sometimes sweet, punchy acidity yet firm tannins and smoky, charry oak acting as a backdrop to the full-bodied palate.
