2025 Dhillon Macedon Ranges Chardonnay 750ml

This project from the granite soils in the northern end of the Macedon Ranges at 460m above sea level is an exciting addition to our activities. The vineyard was established in 1995 and the fruit has ostensibly been “lost” interstate until new Victorian owners took over in spring 2021. This fragrant, stoney, gently spicy Chardonnay has delicious, subtle fruit complexity of lemon, mandarin and yellow plum. It is, of course, youthful and vigorous, with creamy texturtal mouthfeel that builds power, drive and austerity for a long finish. We first made Chardonnay from these 30 year old vines in 2022 and they have proven to gain complexity and palate weight with a few years in bottle. - Michael Dhillon, Winemaker
